Today I’m going to show you how to add Add-Ins on Microsoft Excel. Typically, the Add-Ins file has three extensions, there are *.xla, *.xlam, and *.xll. In this writing, I will use the Add-Ins to calculate thermodynamic and transport properties of water and steam. You can get the file here.
If you already have the Add-Ins file (i.e. stored in your HD) then go to Excel Options by clicking Microsoft Office Button (on top left) then click Excel Options. Afterwards, choose Add-Ins Category. In the Manage box, click Excel Add-ins, and then click Go.

In the Add-Ins Available box, click browse then select the Add-Ins file which you want to be installed (in this case, water97_v13.xla). Now you’re ready to use the Add-Ins.
