Two weeks ago, I had home assignment by assistant of surface facilities lesson (Gerry, Suwanto, Annisa, and Nikka) to make separator design. “Whatever your imagenation, just sketch your separator style”, that was I remembered. Now I’ll introduce my separator, exactly just a sketch. I called ISDD GLCC – Inlet Shower Double Diverter Gas Liquid Cylinder Cyclone. This separator used to separate reservoir fluid that contain high GOR (gas oil ratio).
Nowadays GLCC separator (Gas Liquid Cyclone Cylinder) mostly used in industries to separate gas from liquid just seconds raising time. What amazing technique! Besides reduce time of separation, this technique also saving cost (also place) because it just need big bent pipe and cylinder pipe to create cyclone current. The biggest GLCC separator was built for PT Chevron Pasific Indonesia at Minas Field.
